Gear and Clothing

Tasmania's weather is best describe as 'unpredictable'. It can be hot one day and snow the next. Even in Summer! It has a reputation for having four seasons in one day. During the colder months, warm clothing and rain gear is a must. Expect to get stuck in the rain at some stage. Full wet weather gear will help you keep dry and comfortable. Layering your clothing works well in Tasmania giving you the option to either warm up or cool down easily depending on the conditions. Make sure you bring spare clothes to change into just in case you do get wet. During the warmer months you will need less, but it gets cooler of a night. Once again layering your outfit will help make personal temperature adjustments. This tour involves walking on mixed terrain. It can be anything from rocky to soft sandy, wet, and slippery to dry ground. You will need appropriate walking/hiking boots for this trip. Tour Participants are expected to bring their own toiletries and personal hygiene gear. Participants are also required to bring all their own camera gear. This trip done include some minor walking and extended walking if you wish. A good day pack will help carry your camera gear, but also snacks, clothing etc for your next adventure.
